Here Comes the Bunny

In proof that I am in fact slightly clueless, last week I thought to myself "what the f*c$ is up with all these rabbit decorations?" and then chalking it up to just another Singapore-thing that I don't understand.

Turns out the bunnies actually had a purpose... this year is the year of the Tiger and next year is...drum roll please... the year of the Rabbit. Hence, all the freaking bunnies all over town. And let me say, these are not rabbits of the dignified sort, these are bunnies of the Bugs ilk.

This is the door to my office building. Hello Bunny.

While I have the very best of intentions to eventually write something meaningful and potentially educational about Chinese New Year, for now I will entertain you with some pictures of the lovely decorations in Raffles Place. This holiday is making Christmas look like amateur hour.

Not a great picture- Blackberry camera seems to have lost its ability to zoom, but look close at the terrifying Bunny over the entrance to the building. To make it worse, its eyes glow a scary red at night.

This is in my office. I'm gonna guess it says something like.... Happy Lunar New Year
