Phuket Trip!

We're back from a wonderful 4 days in Phuket, Thailand! After a crazy busy week at work, a few days of relaxation is just what I needed and it was great to spend some quality time with my Mom.

We stayed at the brand new Westin- which was on Siray Island, near Phuket Town. It was way off the beaten path and soooo peaceful and relaxing. 

The resort was pretty much built into the side of the cliff, and our room was wayyyy at the top, which made for some serious stairs-walking, but the view more than made up for it. 

I was pretty terrible company the first day as I immediately fell asleep at the hotel and proceeded to sleep for 6 hours. Opps- but I did feel a world better with some real sleep. We stuck around the hotel the first night and enjoyed a lovely buffet dinner and a even better sunset. 

The hotel was lovely- but didn't have much for beach in hightide- in fact there was basically no beach during hightide, but we managed to wander down there and check it out during low tide one day. 

Check out this cool hammock- made out of one poll of bamboo- super cool.
