Phuket- Day 3- Patong

Dave joined us late on Friday night, and we were glad to see him! After his long week at work, he got some well deserved rest time pool side and then we set out to explore the infamous Patong beach.

But, because no trip in South East Asia would be complete with out them, we stopped to see some Monkeys.
Nom Nom Nom Bananas.

This is a monkey first for us- monkeys in the water.

Dave and his little friend, who very politely accepted a banana.

Lovely Patong Beach. The only lovely thing about the town.

Dave + Chang Beer + No Open Container Laws = Happy Man
Things I am not doing in a developing country include the above. This man must have had a loose relationship with his own mortality.

Always good to know which way to run, should the event arise.

And then one of the real highlights of the trip..... Fish Pedicures!

Not sure how she feels about it.

Yep, it tickles.

My feet. Happy fish.

Still laughing.

Dave's feet- REALLY happy fish. They were having a full buffet!

OK- this  face pretty much sums up the experience.

Checking out the hardworking fish.

Little fish everywhere.

After the fish were exhausted from all the hard work, we went off in search of Chang Beer to reward ourselves for surviving the experience.

If only this had been my last Chang beer of the night, my Sunday might have turned out better. But the night was young, and there was much more seedy town to check out.
Found a cuban cigar shop.

Yup, even here.

Yeah, we're lame Americans- we ate here...and we bought tee shirts, which I may be wearing right now.

Mom exhibiting her high quality shopping skills.

And then came the part of the night, where, after a few beers, we were easily convinced to pay good money for sketchy men to pull animals out of their coats and pose shamelessly with them in while continuing our consumption of Chang beer.
Yeah, thats an iguana. To be fair, it was an unsolicited iguana-ing. A few baht well spent.

Yes, I know its an endangered animal, I know. I know I shouldn't have done it. But look how cute this guy was, sooooo cute. Couldn't say no.

Dave, getting schooled in connect 4 by the bar waitress.

Stuggling with the cube game. The Waitress made it look so easy.

OK- I am a glutton. Holding one Gibbon was not enough. This guy was even littler and soooo cute,
